Gnathology is a 21st century science that includes the interaction of the jaw-teeth system, soft tissues with the spine, joints, hearing organs and their balanced work. Any manipulation performed in the oral cavity, whether it is therapeutic orthopedic or orthodontic work, must take into account the individual characteristics of the patient, the condition of the lower jaw joint, manual assessment of the muscles of the face and neck. In our clinic, special importance is attached to diagnostics, before starting treatment with braces, as well as during the rehabilitation of teeth with ceramics and even before you have presented your teeth. Neglecting such an approach can lead to pain and stiffness in the joint area, pain when chewing and speaking, clicking or grinding in the jaw area, limited movement of the lower jaw when opening and closing the mouth, headaches, ringing/noise in the ears, stress or emotional tension that causes a feeling of tension in the temporomandibular joint area, and asymmetry.
